Well, my quick bio would tell you I eat a lot of pizza, I sing off-key, I dance in my kitchen, and I spend way too much time on Pinterest. And I’m funny. Well, I think I’m funny – those close to me may beg to differ. I’m a northern California native that transplanted to the midwest in pursuit of higher education and a school with a great sports program. I love flowers, sunsets, raspberry + peach iced tea, American flags, 90’s movies, photography, family, and Jesus. Especially Jesus.

I’m a natural light photographer because I think it’s the most beautiful lighting there is. If the Lord created it, it’s beautiful. Just take a good look at the sky during a sunset and you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. I love taking pictures in natural settings – I’m a big fan of leaves. It’s actually a little weird, I just really love leaves. Anyway…

I spent four years at THE Ohio State University where I graduated with a degree in Film Studies, gave my life to my Lord and Savior, and met my favorite guy in the whole world. His name’s Ben, by the way. He’s pretty great. And I married him July 25, 2015, so that’s a win in my book 😉

I’m a hopeless romantic, kinda embarrassing, but there it is. I love a good love story, especially a real one, so I can’t wait to hear yours! Engagement sessions are my absolute favorite. I love love and I love getting to know my clients and hear all about their wedding and future plans! And weddings are so fun! I love capturing all the little details, from the buttons of a dress to the tears as a dad gives his daughter away. (Also, I’m best friends with my dad – so ladies, I’m not going to miss that shot. I promise.) But most importantly, it’s about the love between a bride and groom, and I want to be able to capture every expression of adoration, every laugh, and every ounce of love I possibly can in a photograph.

And that idea goes into every session I shoot. The adoration in a parent’s eyes as they look at their newborn baby, the laughter between siblings, and the love that’s behind it all.
