Last Sunday I got the opportunity to attend the Free To Be Me Workshop at the Gentlebrook Event Center in Hartville! (Side note, it’s in an old greenhouse with tons of gorgeous natural light – basically a photographer’s dream venue, so if any of you are looking for a wedding venue in Northeast Ohio, I HIGHLY recommend checking it out!) The workshop was hosted by Rachel of Rachel Elisabeth Photography and featured guest speaker, Ellie, of Ellie Be Photography. Both women were incredibly encouraging and gracious, and I left the workshop with a happy heart, creative mind, and new friends.
Rachel planned two styled shoots for the attendees and they were both just all sorts of gorgeous!! The vendors (listed at the end of this post) all spoiled us with such gorgeous gowns, florals, etc. (I’m seriously in love with that tulle gown…) I loved how springy this first shoot felt with the water color backdrop, bright florals, and such a fun “bride”! I’m usually not one for lots of color thanks to my neutral-loving heart, but I just loved this shoot! 🙂 The second styled shoot will be on the blog at the end of the week, so keep an eye out for that one too! It was equally as gorgeous! 🙂
I’ll be forever thankful for this opportunity and the reminder that I am free to be me and that I am what makes my art what it is – my past, my world views, and my heart all shape my photography. And I’m so excited to get back to work fully believing and embracing that! 🙂
