Holy moly, Stormi & Cody know how to put together one heck of a wedding!
The two booked the Park of Roses for their ceremony and reception space back in the winter – without ever having seeing it in all it’s blossoming beauty! Having been to the Park of Roses many times, I knew it was going to pay off, but I didn’t know it was going to show up as amazing as it did! Our early spring tricked all the roses into blooming a few weeks early, so everything was just gorgeous.
And on Stormi + Cody’s end, no detail was overlooked. Friends and family showed up in full force, ready to set up the entire ceremony and reception – some friends even provided homegrown peonies for centerpieces and bouquets! Stormi threw the stunning bouquets together in a matter of minutes. Seriously. I watched her. (Teach me your ways, girl.) I had so much fun styling all their details – hanging dresses from the arbor at their ceremony location, incorporating roses into invitation suite shots, and using trays and even RIBBON that Stormi provided for detail photos. (And the most prepared bride award goes to…!) Also, just wait until you see that cake. All the heart eyes, people! I’m still having a hard time believing just about every aspect of this wedding was DIY…
The two shared a sweet first look before we went into portrait time and I just love getting to photograph these two! They fall right into the most perfect snuggles so naturally and look at each other so sweetly. Put those sweet glances in a huge garden and everything just turns out so stinkin’ romantic! The rain had alternate plans for their outdoor ceremony, but we still managed to get ALL of our portraits (including family!) finished before the downpours started – thank you FIRST LOOKS! 🙂 The ceremony was moved into the shelter house, which had been adorned in the prettiest greenery and florals – so it still made for a pretty pretty plan B 😉 The pastor shared the Gospel with their guests and started their marriage off with God at the center – just as they had hoped.
Stormi & Cody – thank you so much for letting us be a part of your big day! It was a beautiful reminder of God’s love and I absolutely feel so grateful to have been there to witness and document it. Hope your honeymoon was warm and sunny and that your first couple weeks of marriage has been amazing! 🙂
