Oh, I’m so excited to get to share this wedding on the blog today!
Caitlin + Drew were married in Coshocton at the Pomerene Center for the Arts on the most gorgeous, June day, and when we arrived at the venue, my jaw dropped. Guys, it’s one of the most beautiful venues I’ve ever shot at. I felt like I walked straight into a Southern Weddings editorial haha!
I had talked to Caitlin before hand about her wedding, and she had described it as very BHLDN-y, and I’d say she hit it right on the money. There were so many touches of minimal, yet vintage pieces scattered throughout her ceremony and reception and it all came together so perfectly. Her bridesmaids wore mismatching BHLDN dresses, their bouquets complimented the vintage modern style and don’t even get me started on that stunner of a wedding gown! <3 Pretty sure a day couldn’t come together any prettier than this.
Drew + Caitlin shared a sweet first look before their ceremony, and then we went straight into portrait time with the two of them and then their bridal party. Pretty sure I could’ve photographed them all all day. Because we had so much portrait time and such perfect weather, I even got to play around with a little bit of medium format film and I think I squealed when I got the scans back. There’s something about a bride & groom on film that just gets my heart all fluttery. After finishing up portraits, the bride & groom were tucked away as guests arrived for their ceremony. Caitlin’s dad walked her across the grounds of the Pomerene Center to “Tenerife Sea” by Ed Sheeran to bring her to her groom and it set the tone for the entire ceremony. It was sweet, love filled, and I loved the sweet little kissing bells that were passed out to guests as a nod to Caitlin’s Irish heritage. As they shared their first kiss as husband and wife, all the guests rang their bells and it was so joyful and celebratory! I absolutely loved it!
Before the wedding day, Caitlin had mentioned that her grandparents were going to be celebrating their 62nd wedding anniversary this July! She told me that they had never even had any wedding pictures taken, so she asked if I would take a few anniversary photos for them on her wedding day. How sweet is that?! And of course I was all for it – they’re the cutest things; just wait until you see the photos <3
The party moved over to the Riverfront Lounge where everyone enjoyed the perfect weather and danced the night away. Caitlin’s maid of honor finished her toast with the hope that that day would be “the day they loved each other the least” and I thought that was the sweetest way to sum up marriage.
Caitlin + Drew, thank you so much for trusting us to document your gorgeous, love-filled day! It was such an honor. Hope the first week of being Mr. + Mrs. Fox has been even more beautiful than your wedding day.
