Hannah + Matt | Monastery Event Center Wedding
Hannah & Matt were married on a gorgeous September day at the most gorgeous venue with the most gorgeous details and the most gorgeous style. Basically, everything about this day was stunning.
Hannah's bridal details were full of heirlooms, from her mom's old perfume bottle to her bouquet with her dad's cufflink from his first date with her mom (her something blue), to her new clutch from her groom with a sweet note embroidered on the inside. I absolutely love when bride's incorporate heirlooms into their wedding day - sure it's fun to shop for pretty new things for your wedding day, but weaving some details with history and family importance in there makes sure everything is a little nearer and dearer to the bride's heart - all while helping to tell the story of her history to pave the way for the story of her future. Hannah also wore an Olia Zavozina gown that the designer actually NAMED after Hannah's middle name after meeting her and choosing this dress at a trunk show! Um, if that's not the coolest thing ever...
The two shared a first look at Eden Park, just minutes up the road from the Monastery, and holy moly. Find yourself a man that will look at you the way Matt looked at Hannah for the first time that day. He picked her up, spun her around, and overall it was just the cutest first look ever. From there, Hannah and Matt blocked off so much time for portraits with her soon-to-be husband and their bridal party! We wandered around Eden Park from section to section and there truly wasn't a bad spot in the whole park! And with all that gorgeous sunlight, we were able to make some truly beautiful photos!
Hannah & Matt's ceremony took place at the Monastery Event Center, and the inside of this venue is just jaw-dropping. All the historical murals and brick still peek through and the architectural details are out of this world. I loved that Hannah walked down the aisle to "Storybook Love" from The Princess Bride and that their whole ceremony was completely Christ-centered. It was gorgeous to watch them share what they loved about each other, their personal vows, and to become man and wife under a giant mural that read "May The Passion Of The Lord Jesus Christ Be Always In Our Hearts." Every moment of their day was so meaningful.
The reception followed after a brief cocktail hour that allowed the Monastery staff to transform the space from rows of chairs to dinner tables with gorgeous centerpieces and place settings. Hannah & Matt had a sweetheart table with a settee for the two of them! I loved it! After sweet speeches from the bride's father and maid of honor and a hilarious speech by the groom's brother/best man, the two shared their first dance as husband and wife. They danced to Ingrid Michaelson's cover of "Can't Help Falling in Love". SO SWEET. The ended the night on the dance floor with all their closest friends and family, and I can't think of a way this wedding day could've been any more perfect.
Congrats, Mrs. + Mrs. Fox! :) Thank you so much for choosing us to document such a special day! Hope you LOVE reliving your wedding day!
